We are a professional motorsport team based in Lincolnshire currently competing on the UK's premier motorsport package, the TOCA tour. We offer a range of services including corporate sponsorship and hospitality, track days, driver training, vehicle set up and track side support.

In 2017 we are expanding to become a three car entry in the Renault UK Clio Cup. As one of the most competitive championships in the country the Clio Cup produces more BTCC drivers than any other series. Its exciting racing is enjoyed by 35,000+ fans trackside at each of the nine race weekends and by the audience watching live on ITV4.

Team History

Team principle, John Creasey, established Paint Perfect in it's Lincoln HQ in 2006. Over the past ten years the company has built a strong reputation as a quality automotive paint and body shop. To cope with demand Paint Perfect also gained an industrial coatings division working on contracts for the energy and defence industries.

Repairing and painting cars gave John and his team experience with a number of cars and bikes used in a wide range of motor sport, presenting the opportunity to gain knowledge and indulge a dream of owning a track car.

A Peugeot 106 GTi was sourced as a half finished project and over the next few years the team, working in partnership with MWT Automotive, would develop and run the car at local circuits. It quickly became a very capable and reliable car attracting interest from drivers of much more powerful and exotic machinery wherever it went.

At the end of 2013 after much research the decision was made to sell the 106 and purchase a vehicle to purpose build for a single marque series. John passed his ARDS test gaining a National B Race Licence and the 106 found a new home as a popular track day rental car.

After attending the first round of the 2014 Michelin Clio Cup Series a crash damaged 197 Cup was delivered to the Clayton Road premises. Working nights over the following six weeks MWT and the newly formed PP Motorsport transformed the written off road car into a Road Series racer. The car made it's first appearance at Oulton Park for round three. The team and John has a successful first season racing and claimed the Road Series Sport Class trophy (for novice racers.)

In 2015 the team signed Anton Spires as driver coach. For the final two rounds of the season, after securing funding, the team ran Anton in a Clio 200 Cup Car in the Michelin Clio Cup Series Race Division. On his first weekend in the car at Oulton Park he narrowly missed out on a podium finish in an exciting battle for 3rd position.

In 2016 the team made the progression to the Renault UK Clio Cup a full year ahead of their business plan. Experienced Clio Cup driver James Colburn joined the team as driver coach. As the only single car entry Anton picked up an impressive 6th place at Thruxton. Roles reversed towards the end of the season and James drove the car for the last two meetings finishing 5th in the last race of the year on the Brands Hatch GP Circuit.

In 2017 the team will further establish itself on the TOCA package by entering three cars in the UK Clio Cup. The long term goal of becoming a British Touring Car Championship team draws ever closer...
